Multi-class dataset of 2,794 ten-second audio recordings from the SONYC acoustic sensor network in New York, annotated by Zooniverse volunteers for 23 urban noise classes.
Which classes of urban noise co-occur in New York, and which are most common overall? Build a picture of the city's soundscape from volunteer tags.
Where to start: Load the annotation CSV (tags per 10-second clip). Count class frequencies; then look at which classes appear together in the same clip.
What to share: A frequency chart and a simple co-occurrence heatmap of noise classes.
