Over 1 billion raw observations from ~110 low-cost weather stations spread across Leuven (Belgium), at 16-second resolution from June 2019 to March 2025.
Is there a measurable urban heat-island effect across Leuven — are some stations systematically warmer than others, and does the gap grow at night or in summer?
Where to start: This is a billion-row dataset: do NOT load it whole. Use DuckDB or chunked reading on one quarter's file first, aggregate temperature per station and hour, then compare a few stations.
What to share: A map or chart of station-level temperature differences and a short interpretation. Note which technique you used to handle the size.
