Is or when is recode: v4 ready to release?

Since the recode branch is there, and I wonder how complete it is compared to main branch? Are the bug fixes from main ported to recode branch?

My last push to the new version was about 6 months ago, so I'm pretty sure some things broke during that timespan - I have no idea what though 😅. Another reason for automated unit tests...

Another big thing that defintely has to be added before releasing is streaming.
