The elytra+ control mode has a speed limit of 6.0 which is 20-30 m/s which is not enough for fast travelling, and clients like wurst and forgehax have much faster elytra hacks. But both wurst and forgehax are crap, so there are no good mods for elytra fast travelling.
All you have to do is to increase the limit from 6 to around 30 or remove the limit completely. Doesn't seem really hard.
