Admin Panel

User has whole control of the project. There are three option that an user can do.

  • User can add a new employee
  • User can add a new project
  • User can assign new task for particular employee

1. Analytics

  • User can view total number of users and their activities.
  • User can view total number of projects and their progress.

2. Adding employee

Only admin can add a new employee.

2.1 Required inputs:

  • Name of the employee
  • Email of the employee
  • Password
  • Phone number (Optional)

User will be notified by email after successful addition to Database.

3. Adding project

Only user has the access to add new project. "+projects" link is given to switch to the page were user can add new project.

3.1 Requirements:

  1. Name of new project

Once the name pf project is entered, on clicking to "Add Project" button, new project can be added. User can view total number of projects that are running currently, at project panel.

4. Assigning task

User can assign new task to a particular user. "+task" link is given to switch to the page were user can assign task.

4.1 Requirements:

  • Name of employee
  • Description(optional)
  • Project name

Once all the details were entered, on clicking to "Assign Task" new task can be assigned. User can view total number of tasks that are running currently, at task panel.

The Project chart in the admin view shows the complete status of the projects at different time intervals. The Activities table in the admin view shows the complete information about all the projects with status and editing options. Admin can modify or delete the entry by clicking on the icons.

If there is any notifications for user, that will be displayed on the notification block. User can read the notifications on clicking on "See all notifications" link.

2.4 User Profile

On clicking to a profile picture, there are two links available.

  1. Profile
  2. Logout

2.4.1 Profile:

User can change password picture in the profile page. On clicking to the profile picture user will be prompted into a form where profile picture can be selected. Once the the "upload" button is clicked, profile picture will be uploaded.

User can change the password in profile page. In order to change password there are three fields that is, old password, new password and confirm password.

2.4.2 Logout

User can logout by clicking logout button.

2.5 Design and Implementation

2.5.1 Core data design

Entities

  1. time_details(id, ref_id, type, project_id, task_name, description, t_date, start_time, end_time, created_on, modified_on)
  2. project_assignee(id, project_id, user_id, created_on, modified_on)
  3. project(id, name, meta_data, created_on, modified_on)
  4. login(id, email, password, reset_token, type, ref_id, created_on, modified_on, logout_time)
  5. user(id, name, email, phone, type, created_on, modified_on, profile)

"time_details" table is used to store all details of the task. Whenever user logs in or restarts the task new entry will be created with the task details. "project_assignee" table is used store the details of all the tasks that are assigned by the admin. "project" table contains details about the projects that is created by the admin. "login" table has all the details of each login entry. Whenever user logs in, for each login new entry will be created with the times details. "user" table contains all information about the users who are added by the admin. Whenever admin adds new user, all the information about that user should be entered.
