Should we spin up a new Hetzner server for him to test on or use an existing one?

With our current structure we are using all the AX101s . It may be time to rethink our architecture (We may be able to consolidate on fewer machines, and we may also want to free up a machine for the projects we are working on).. Until then, we can set up an additional server:

Hetzner no longer have AX101s . They were replaced by AX102s , which are far less cost effective.

I see two options as the most efficient ones for our current needs:

Option A
Hetzner currently has €0 set-up fee for AX-41-NVMe. We could outfit it with 1-2 additional 2TB NVMe discs. This would allow for a full sync of most archive nodes. Total price is ~€80/mo

Option B
Alternatively we could use a hetzner cloud-instance. They do not have enough space to fully sync an archive node. (So you would only be able to verify that a node starts syncing correctly. Price is 8€/mo

I think it makes sense to go with Option A for now. I think it would be helpful for both verifying Indexing 101 and for doing our live workshops. Once we find time to rethink our architecture we may either cut this server, or update it to a more powerful 102. But with €0 set-up fee, I believe it makes the most sense to go with this option for now.

Could you reserve an AX-41-NVMe? And let me know if you'd like some fiat/token transfer to comp for extra Hetzner costs.

I have ordered the AX-41-NVMe. Since it is a customized server (Upgraded the RAM and added two NVMe drives), we may have to wait until Monday before it gets set up. Their work hours are until 18:00 CEST, and it is currently 19:45. Will let you know as soon as it's ready. No need for fiat/tokens atm. I can bear the cost until we have more consistent funding for the DAO 🙏

Update: Still waiting for Hetzner to set up the new server. I sent them an email just now, requesting an ETA.

Killercoda starts spazzing out a when I say yes after entering the password to sign into Hetzner server. Just continuously returns a y.

On Mac OS I can reach up until install linux packages it gets a little fuzzy on how to install Linux packages from df -h --total .

If I go to install the image and quit like last time I still get the /dev/sda warning when I quit

Hey @alex-pakalniskis docker pull nethermind/nethermind in installing nethermind doesn't seem to work in ubuntu

Also i'm a little stuck on Step 2. Configure JSON-RPC API mainly on how to access the config file to add the JSON
