1.16 stuck on splash screen

• I searched for similar bug reports (including closed issues) and found none was relevant.

What happened?

I flashed 2 Pinetime devices approximately the same time, approximately Feb 2nd. They are now only showing the splash screen and unable to boot into recovery or older firmware. .

What should happen instead?

They should boot/function normally.

Reproduction steps

Use the latest release for a little over a month.

More details?

I was able to connect to one via bluetooth and reflash it, but the other one is not paired to a device and will not boot into OS, recovery, or previous firmware leaving it unusable.
