How do i add YT Shorts to the subscription feed?

Shorts are a common intermediary media type that is published every now and then by creators, but despite the setting->feed , fetch channeltabs: shorts : yes, i don't see them in my subscription feeds, just when i go to the dedicated tab on the creators channel.
That is not how i expect this to work. Are they filtered on purpose or did youtube break this feature?

Shorts don't have upload dates so we can't add it into feeds (you don't know if it's a new one or not)
