I have noticed this as well, and for me it seems to only happen when using PipePipe. I have been using services to stream Youtube such as Newpipe as well as Tubular, a fork of it , PipePipe, Libretube and Grayjay. But as soon as I watch a few (like really only 1 or 2) Youtube Videos Via PipePipe I get this IP block error. From then on, all of the above services can nolonger stream Videos to me, so the error is most likely correct about my IP being blocked. (Exceptions: The official app works since I'm logged in, but no way I'm using that; Grayjay has a fallback workaround that works for me; Services with a login work, when logging in to your Youtube account, but this obviously defies the point of watching without a need for loging in and providing so much data.)

So in concusion, I have a feeling that PipePipe in particular is doing something that Google doesn't like. Not to hate on the project, I really like what PipePipe is doing but I feel like this IP blocking should be adressed.

I can confirm that it is most likely IP based, since using any VPN service I tested (including free ones, ONLY DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK) or just literaly changing my IP (My ISP fortunately provides this option legally and for free, but I htard that not all ISP's do this so check that and try to LEGALLY change it, I will not get into any non legal ways of doing anything) resolves the issue for all of my tested services (mostly the ones mentioned above)

While I do not want to advertise for other services in an Issue for PipePipe, if someone here is facing true IP bans, I can only recommend using Grayjay since it's fallback login should circumvent this (Keep in mind that Grayjay is a very different Service to PipePipe with very different goals) or trying VPN(s) ((at your own risk ig))

Sorry for "advertising" ig, but it would be nice if people looken into the reason for these IP bans, as knowing Google, this will only get worse if we don't find the reason.

Nah, this isn't just PipePipe, I just had the same exact problem with NewPipe, which I used exclusively, until I switched over to PipePipe 4.2.4 and it finally stopped blocking me. Only problem is once PipePipe 4.3.0 released the problem immediately came back, so I just used the sign in setting to stop it. Never used any VPNs either, it makes me think its something Youtube and Google are doing.

Alright makes sense, I just didn't have it happen on other Newpipe forks or Newpipe itsself, which I mainly use. I wanted to start using PipePipe but as soon as I do I always get IP blocked after very few Videos being streamed.

But yea, this is probably sonething that all third party services will have to react to. Thanks Google for adding nothing to society yet again.

Frustratingly, I have been dealing with this for the past month and didn't see that anyone was reporting it, go through the hassle of jumping through all of the hoops to ensure that my bug report wouldn't get closed, only to find that someone has logged the same complaint after i took the time to exfiltrate the error log from my phone. >.>

With 4.2.0 and 4.3.0, i cannot workaround this by providing my youtube credentials; it actually makes the problem worse. I know my creds are correct and the app is logging in because it pulls down my user info (profile pic, etc), but the app just gets stuck in a loop taking me back to the account details page every time i try to start playback again.

Wouldn't be so bad if the penny-clenchers at Google would just play nice, but they are trying everything in the book to harass users into paying for their "premium" service, short of legitimate extortion and homicide (and those are probably even questionable at this point).

Yeah that's not particularly related to PipePipe. All third party services are under the same situation. No way to bypass it.
To avoid the error, simply use a VPN or log in.
