Running 'Main' from Eclipse

It is possible to use the scenario generation outside of the Rails context in an SDK, e.g. Eclipse, or even the command line.

To do that, you have to establish an ssh tunnel to the playground and forward a local port to the postgreSQL port on the playground. The console command to establish port forwarding is

ssh playground -L 9999:localhost:5432

This will forward the local port 9999 to the remote port 5432.

If you use Windows as OS, you can establish port forwarding if you follow the steps in this manual.
