EDITBM in sources>HLDISPLAY vs lispusers>FASTEDITBM

The one in FASTEDITBM by @nbriggs seems to be slightly newer. Which is better?

(Also, WHEREIS says there is a version on the file EDITBMPATCHES, but I can't find that file)

I haven't looked to see which EDITBM is better - I suspect I did my version as a lispusers package because the original was slow for Trillium users who were heavy bitmap editors and it was easy to incorporate a new lispusers package while getting something in the core system wasn't that easy.

Should EDITBMPATCHES be moved to obsolete too? If patches aren't being loaded, should WHEREIS ignore them?

The EDITBMPATCHES file was just outright deleted in Nov 2023 - so I don't know what WHEREIS database you would have found that would still have that in it.

Ahh, a left over in my working directory, from a time that gitfns wasn't checking as many subdirectories.

With today's fast machines it's hard to notice any difference in performance between the editors, even with bitmaps as large as a FullHD screen.
