Easy SkyMesh mobile app and sensors

Hi friends,
We are thinking to have our own Easy SkyMesh mobile app and sensors.
They will be fully compatible with MeshCore devices.

Please input your voice and idea.

Notes:

• For PowerSaving repeaters and companions, they are always free and open source. It will be merged continously to MeshCore main line.
• For Easy SkyMesh app and sensors, there will be some small fee to fund the development, maintain and support new boards and new sensors.

1. Easy SkyMesh mobile app:

• No central server is involved: Mobile app > companion > repeater > sensor
• Ability to support MeshCore mainline, PowerSaving variant and Easy SkyMesh sensors.
• Ability to flash firmware directly from mobile app via OTA and UART.
• Ability to deploy, manage and maintain configuration of multiple repeaters and sensors at once.
• Ability to visualize data from sensors with numbers and graphs.
• Ability to control GPIOs of sensors from mobile app
• Ability to pop up alert of critical events of your repeaters and sensors

2. Easy SkyMesh Sensors

• This will NOT be merged to MeshCore mainline.
• Based on MeshCore sensors with additional features
• PowerSaving mode at 1-2mA: This is for always-on sensors and relays.
• Deep Sleep mode at 0.01mA (10uA): This is for battery sensors to last several years. Sensors will deep sleep at 10uA, wakeup to send data and deep sleep again. Minimum sending interval is 5 minutes.
• Ability to send alert to private channels
• Ability to send notification to Easy SkyMesh app.
• RS485 support: For countless RS485 sensors in the market.
• I2C support: For common IoT sensors.
• Relay support: For on and off a GPIO wiring to a relay.
• New board support: You can have new board support quickly.

If you use RS485, Xiao S3 can use typical up to 32 or max 255 sensors.

Love this idea! The past many months, everyone here has worked together well. We communicate what we would like to have / try and test. It gets done and everyone benifits. This is a huge step forward and to continue on that. YES, lets do it. Yes, lets send coffee and support this.

Well, it will be in need if we have many repreaters to manage.

Most of the SAR oriented apps for Meshcore are vibecoded and not supported properly. I am part of SAR team and it will be really great to have proper firmware/app with GPS tracking on set intervals, offline map with location history and custom colors / labels or just APRS bridge, so all locations get uploaded to APRS.fi or custom aprs servers (i know that this is for licensed HAM operators, but we are). And all of this working with T1000, Wio L1 pro, wish mesh tag, the new heltec meshnode T1 etc. If you wish to invest time in such a development i think lots of SAR teams around the world will benefit and be able to save more lives.

Yes, we have L1 Pro, T096, T1000, t114+gps...
Should be able to support this usecase.

the sensor names could be simplified, "Chanel 2" doesn't say anything specific, it would be best if the sensor name was displayed by default (e.g. ATH20), which could be edited by user

Thinking how to show it nicely as a button in the app.

Many friends want to have some kind of "remote control".

Maybe it can also work the other way round, waking up and sending a message when the state of one of the pins changes high/low :)
