feature request: add support for mongodb

I'd like to have a choice of backends, and would rather use mongodb

Unless there is a really good syncing library for mongo its not going to happen. It you wanted to submit a pull request I would be happy to review it. Couch, although not wide spread, is perfect for this use case.
