Didn't the user need to have a computer for at least the first time in order to install STR to the speakers? Are you thinking that some users only need the STR remote functionality and don't care for grouping/pairing/setting up new music library after using the STR app one time? I am guessing that users would find it more useful to be able to create more than six presets to easily access their favorite radio stations and such.

@VirusPilot A stick does update the agent. The app writes the current version onto it, and the speaker installs it when it starts with the stick in. Writing the stick needs the desktop app though, so it is no way around the PC.

@shorty310 Yes, the first install needs a computer. This idea is about everything after that, for people who installed once, maybe on a borrowed laptop, and then only use the phone.

@mash8336 An update at night would have to wake the speakers, which I avoid, and an agent update restarts each speaker. An option in the app to update all speakers when it starts is closer, and I'll keep it in mind for this one.
