volume module improvements: horizontal support and input (source-selector/mute/slider) support

I'm interested in expanding the controls and customization of the volume module which doesn't really fit how I would like it to look or operate at the moment.

I already have a very simple PR for supporting a configurable option for a horizontal bar as opposed to the current vertical one, which seems to be something that's been asked before in #576.

The contributing guide suggests we should open an issue or discussion before publishing a PR. Is this something others would be interested in or that @JakeStanger would allow for contribution on?

Yeah I'm open to a PR for more control over the layout. Do keep in mind the possibility that #1032 may be resolved by including it in the volume module, in case that has any impact

Awesome thanks! I'll keep that in mind, for the moment the current PR is just a layout option, but I will begin looking into adding input support in an additional PR when I get the chance.

In my case I can't make any Microphone/Source/Input shown. Can anyone (un)confirm?

Using PipeWire (and PulseAudio bridge) BTW.

I've asked you twice to open a new issue if you're having problems. Please stop posting on old issues.

You've not given nearly enough information here for anybody to help you. I've checked one of your other issues through and spotted your on 0.18.0, which does not include the source support. If this is the case, you will need to run the git version or wait for 0.19.
