how are larger teams handling SKILL.md drift across engineers?

question that comes up over and over when we recommend these to friends: how do you actually keep the same 66 (or whatever curated set) of these skills available across a whole team without each person manually re-installing? ~/.claude/skills/ per laptop drifts within a week.

what we've seen tried:

• private git submodule
• dotfiles sync
• self-hosted registry (we built skillnote for exactly this, mit: github.com/luna-prompts/skillnote)

curious what you'd recommend. if a few patterns surface here it might be worth a docs section.
