It would be helpful to show the README.md for custom modules if such a file is available.

Good idea. At the moment, the Readme can be opened by opening the module informations and clicking on the "Documentation" link.

for me this has worked just fine in the past, I see no need for to add suche feature, but maybe Hermann has had something other in mind
