I am in the process of creating rdocs for ruby-kickstart. Before I try to send a pull request I would just like you to take a look at it and see if I should. I could then just drop it into a branch if you like. My repo is ruby-kickstart-4-rdoc but I'm not done yet.
I'll push what I have so far maybe before days end.

K! First rdoc is easy. Just install it. The latest should be over 4.0.0 and it may just come with Rails but I'm not sure.
You probably have it already so just gem outdated and see if it's listed. Or just gem update.
Then you just get to the directory of choice for your Ruby code and run it. But you have help also >rdoc --help
You may just use it to do only one file > rdoc rubycode.rb I know I have so I don't have to wait for them all to generate. It's HTML and all the fixings.

I haven't updated it since last night so it's all there plus what I have modified. But now I think spec and solved should not get doced yet so here I removed them. I hope you don't mind some of my changes to the documentation you had as I found that I hated to see those sliders all the time for big listings. You'll see what I mean for some of them. Try more hiaku after all "Matz" is awesome Nippon. The default format is Darkfish. I would suggest you find the gem templates folder and change the css for ruby-comments to something brighter first. It's default is red and not at all like rubydocs online.
They can do what they want of course but then so may we.
Have fun. And I'm in the process of adding a supplemental ArraysRails class to CheatSheets class but it's abit of a pain right now because some of those documented Array methods are not showing up.
http://api.rubyonrails.org/files/activesupport/lib/active_support/core_ext/array/access_rb.html is one of them. They don't work like the others when doing require 'rails'. So I'm just doing a few to get folks excited about that part of Rails. We don't have to run Rails apps but we may still use the gems. After all so many people take parts out of it and wrap it up for us to use because it gets updated sooner.

I just swapped out the rdoc.css from the http://ruby-doc.org/core-2.0/Array.html page with the one in
gems\1.9.1\gems\rdoc-4.0.1\lib\rdoc\generator\template\darkfish The green comments are much brighter now.
I did keep the original to write home about. rdoc.cssoff

Watching your videos I tell that what ever editor your using, wraps those long comments. Does rdoc do that for you also? I broke my bottom description slider somehow messing around in the rdoc.css so now they overflow. You will see this in docs that I have provided..

Now that I've gotten some of the funny business out of the way, I actually doing the tests.
Question: How can a reader read zero books?

1. grade for book reader should return "C" when given 0 books
   Failure/Error: grade(num_books,true).should == "C"
   expected: "C"
   got: "D" (using ==)

   ./session1/spec/4.rb:24:in `block (4 levels) in <top (required)>'

But we can test for that. Just wasn't expecting it.

IDK, it's not entirely clear to me what you mean. TextMate allows you to do Command + Option + W to turn wrapping on and off.

And I think the difference between the request specs and the controller specs is that the controller ones are unit level, so when you say get 'home', it is just invoking the "home" method on the PagesController. The request specs, however, are magically hooked up to go through the full stack (e.g. the router). The magic happens because they've set it up to tag specs defined in different directories, so by putting it in controllers vs requests, it winds up getting a different tag, which winds up hooking it up to the app differently. Personally, I prefer request specs over controller specs, controller specs rarely leave me feeling confident that my thing works. Plus, in request specs, you can use capybara (the visit stuff you saw). It's confusing because the controller test methods and the capybara test methods are all thrown onto the same spec object, so in the end, I just memorized which is for which.

Question: How can a reader read zero books?

It's saying that the reader owns zero books. Though, I guess logically, in this case, owning zero books and reading them is the same as owning zero books and not reading them. We'll say this goes towards the student's perspective ;)

Yeah, I like cheat, but it's a bit unclear to me whether it's still maintained. I use it for things like figuring out how to do a soft link (cuz the man pages are not helpful). Another good use would be the capybara stuff we mentioned earlier. try cheat capybara There's lots of great cheat sheets on there.

It seems like you're doing a lot of work on the rdocs, but it's not clear to me what the outcome will be. Can you give me a higher level understanding of what this does? (for example: people going through rspec will do x in order to look at the rdocs, which will be useful to them because y)

Since it's not clear to me what the purpose of the rodcs is, I'm worried you're doing a lot of work that might not get pulled into the repo. But I definitely want to give it thoughtful consideration, and really appreciate the thought you've put into this so far :)
