About the JuliaOS

JuliaOS is a modular, open-source platform for building, deploying, and managing AI-powered agents and swarms across multiple blockchains. It combines the performance of Julia (a high-speed, AI-native language) with a flexible dev stack (Node.js CLI, Python bindings) and a robust onchain/offchain agent framework. For non-technical users, JuliaOS also offers a no-code dApp builder with the same AI and swarm capabilities in a simple, intuitive interface. You can learn more about us on our [X page](https://x.com/buildonjulia).

Bounty Objective

Strengthen the interoperability of JuliaOS agents across different blockchains by improving its cross-chain bridge infrastructure. This includes enhancements to performance, reliability, and extensibility, along with support for new chains to broaden JuliaOS' reach and utility.

Scope Details

JuliaOS includes experimental cross-chain bridging logic to allow agents to operate seamlessly across EVM and Solana. Your mission is to improve the robustness and reach of this infrastructure.

Here are key directions to explore:

🛠️ Enhance Existing Bridge Functionality

  • Improve latency, event listening, or error handling across supported chains.
  • Refactor bridge code for clarity, modularity, and extensibility.
  • Add better logging, tracing, and health monitoring.

🌐 Add Support for Additional Chains

  • Propose and integrate support for a new chain with demonstrated compatibility (e.g. Sui).
  • Create a JuliaOS-compatible onchain handler or relay logic for the selected chain.
  • Ensure deterministic behavior of agents across bridged environments.

🔐 Improve Security and Validation

  • Introduce cryptographic proofs or additional signature verification.
  • Harden relayer logic against spoofing or replay attacks.
  • Add CI tests for cross-chain scenarios.

You’re encouraged to submit prototypes or scoped improvements if a full implementation isn’t feasible within the timeframe.

✅ Submission Requirements

How to Participate:

  1. Clone the [JuliaOS repository](https://github.com/Juliaoscode).
  2. Create a new branch and follow the installation instructions in the README.
  3. Submit your pull request referencing the GitHub issue.
  4. Complete this feedback form for eligibility to our upcoming ambassador program (exclusive perks, social badges, events, and more).

Development Requirements:

  • Code Quality: Follow the repo’s structure and best practices.
  • Testing: Include automated or manual tests validating your work.
  • Docs: Describe your additions and how to use them in both code and Markdown.
  • License: All contributions must comply with the MIT license.

🧪 Judging Criteria

  • Functionality: Does the bridge work as intended and improve on the current state?
  • Compatibility: Are newly added chains tested and proven to interoperate?
  • Security: Are cross-chain flows protected against failure or abuse?
  • Documentation: Is it easy to use, test, and extend the new bridge logic?
  • Ecosystem Value: Does this open new use cases for JuliaOS agents?

💸 Reward Structure

  • Reward: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
  • Paid in: $JOS or USDT
  • Deadline: August 6th; early PRs receive faster feedback.
