DocGoblin v1.4.2 — New storage engine
DocGoblin v1.4.2 — New storage engine
DocGoblin now stores your data in a SQLite database instead of plain files:
Libraries, bookmarks, and settings are now kept in a built-in SQLite database. It's faster and more dependable than the old plain-file storage, especially with large libraries, and changes are saved safely as you work.
Automatic, one-time upgrade. The first time you open this version, your existing libraries, bookmarks, and settings are migrated for you. There's nothing to do, and your previous files are kept as a backup.
Tested across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
DocGoblin v1.4.1: Fixes
What's new — Stability & reliability
This update makes DocGoblin more dependable:
- Your data is safer. Libraries, bookmarks, and settings now save in a crash-safe way, so an unexpected shutdown can't corrupt them.
- Fewer crashes. PDF viewing, page navigation, and startup are hardened, corrupt settings or version info no longer stop the app from opening.
- Smoother performance. Memory and file leaks were fixed, and search/indexing run more reliably in the background.
- Easier troubleshooting. Serious startup problems are now logged for quick diagnosis.
Tested across Windows, macOS, and Linux for a more reliable experience.
