Catching Wild Bees with Honey Treats

In the endless expanse of Infinite Horizons, traditional bee nests are impossible to find naturally. To kickstart your apiculture journey and automate resource production, you must use a special survival mechanic: coaxing elusive wild bees out of solid materials using Honey Treats.

By offering a tasty snack to the elements, you can lure different species of bees into the open!

How it Works

The process is simple, but requires specific blocks depending on the bee you are looking to attract.

  1. Craft or Obtain a Honey Treat (productivebees:honey_treat).
  2. Locate or Place the target block (e.g., an Oak Log, Stone, or Sugar Cane) out in the world.
  3. Right-click the block with the Honey Treat in your main hand.
  4. The Honey Treat will be consumed, and you will instantly receive a Spawn Egg for a random bee attracted to that specific block.

Note: If you are playing in Creative Mode, the Honey Treat will not be consumed.

Survival Strategy Tips for Infinite Horizons

  • RNG Management: If a block lists multiple bees (like Dark Oak or Coarse Dirt), the result is randomized. Keep multiple treats on hand if you are hunting for a specific species like the Blue Banded Bee or Ashy Mining Bee.
  • Early Game Priorities: Aim for Stone and Coarse Dirt early on. Getting a Mason Bee or Leafcutter Bee is highly beneficial for handling basic building block automation before you scale up your resource generation.
  • Save Your Treats: Be careful not to rapidly right-click! Each successful click consumes a treat, so space out your interactions to ensure you don't accidentally waste resources on a duplicate spawn egg you didn't mean to summon.
