[Bug]: Incorrect version showing

Bug Description

When the user checks the currently installed KDM version using kdm --version, it correctly displays the installed version. However, the update notification system is showing an incorrect current version instead of the actual version installed on the user's machine.

Steps to Reproduce

run kdm --version

Expected Behavior

should show actual version installed on machine

Actual Behavior

showing 0.0.0
