This is the first foundation milestone of the Nova Development Framework.

NDF Foundation 0.1 establishes the first stable base layer for a human-led, AI-assisted software engineering framework focused on structured, documented and quality-focused projects.

Core Principle

AI creates. Humans approve.

AI assistants may help create code, documentation, analysis and reviews. Critical decisions, repository history, commits, pushes and releases remain under human control.

What this release means

Foundation 0.1 does not mean that NDF is complete.

It means the foundation is stable enough to build on:

• Academy content
• real project integrations
• automation checks
• website prototype
• export pipeline
• future toolkit/CLI work

Known Limitations

• Academy content is mostly a skeleton.
• Website is conceptual and not yet deployed.
• Export pipeline is conceptual and not yet automated.
• Toolkit is specification-first and not yet a CLI.
• Basic automation checks are planned for a later milestone.
• Branding assets are v0.1 working assets.

Next Phase: Foundation 0.2

Foundation 0.2 will focus on:

• repository cleanup and consolidation
• basic Markdown/link/structure checks
• Academy Band 1 content expansion
• first MkDocs website prototype
• first PDF/DOCX export prototype
• first real project integration, preferably CastCore
