Problem
ZMK is a growing firmware alternative to QMK, especially popular for wireless/Bluetooth keyboards. VIA only supports QMK.
Upstream ref: the-via/app#57
Desired behavior
- Research ZMK's configuration model (Devicetree-based, very different from QMK)
- Determine feasibility of a unified configurator UI
- Even partial ZMK support would be a huge differentiator
- Could start with ZMK keymap import/export
Why this matters
The wireless keyboard market is growing fast, and ZMK is the firmware of choice. Supporting both QMK and ZMK would make Keylab the only configurator that covers both ecosystems.
