🚀 Beta Test – Murmure 1.10.0

Hello everyone,

The beta testing phase for Murmure 1.10.0 is now open. As with the previous round, this is an open beta, anyone who wants to test the pre-release version is welcome, and we want to gather as much feedback as possible before the official release.

✨ This release focuses on the core: a new custom Parakeet model and better audio resampling make transcription noticeably more accurate (especially in French), long dictations are now processed in the background while you speak so the result is ready much faster, and dictionary words now change the model's tokens directly for far fewer mistakes on your own jargon.

📝 EDIT (3 July 2026), build refreshed to 1.10.0. The pre-release has been updated from the first beta build (1.9.100) with a batch of fixes. The download links above now point to 1.10.0. What changed:

• macOS overlay: clicking through transparent zones and the cancel button now work. This path could previously crash or stay unresponsive, so macOS testers, your feedback here is especially valuable (click the cancel cross while another app has focus, and click a transparent zone above another window).
• Sounds: the start and stop beeps now respect the "sounds disabled" setting.
• Push to talk: a very short tap no longer leaves the microphone stuck open.
• Streaming preview: spaces are kept between segments, and leftover text from a cancelled or finished dictation no longer shows up in the next preview.
• Quick re-dictation: the recording mode is read before processing, so a fast second dictation in another mode keeps the right post-processing.
• SmartMic over 60 seconds: the LLM prompt is now applied once to the full transcript instead of once per 60 second fragment.
• Text Insert Mode "None": the transcription is now copied to the clipboard when "keep in clipboard" is enabled.
• Shortcuts: conflict detection now runs when you reset a shortcut, and shortcuts are no longer left suspended if you close the window while capturing one.
• CLI: transcribe now returns an error when no audio file is given instead of opening the app.
• Home: statistics are now shown on all setups, including Wayland.
• French locale: remaining English labels are translated.
• Small additions: a Star on GitHub card, and the active LLM prompt name shown in the overlay.

Bonjour et merci pour cette killer-app. Si son usage se normalise sur mon Mac, je n'oublierai pas de te payer un café :-)
Alors juste pour signaler que la version Darwin Mac ne marchait pas sur mon Tahoe 26.5 M1 (ARM64) : je n'arrivais pas à déclencher l'enregistrement, malgré plusieurs tentatives de raccourcis.
Problème résolu avec la bêta et la transcription est impressionnante ! Reste un petit bug : le mode vocal ne veut pas se déclencher. Je suis passé de Alix à Jarvis, et vice-versa, mais rien à faire, il est sourd et ne se déclenche pas. Pas grave, la dictée vocale est déjà super !
