Terminal 1: Autonomous Scaled Container Crane

Built for the EPFL CS358 "Making Intelligent Things" Bachelor Final Year Project

A fully autonomous scaled container terminal crane built by a team of six. My specific engineering contributions included:

  • Mechanical Design: Designed and manufactured the physical frame and gantry mechanism.
  • Computer Vision: Developed the autonomous detection pipeline in Python using OpenCV to identify, grab, and store containers.
  • Embedded Systems: Engineered the 3-DOF motor control unit in C++ on an Arduino Mega.
