Community Quarry
The Community Quarry is located near (-2600,-1675) and provides cobblestone, gravel, sand, andesite, tuff, clay balls, plain terracotta, and red sand. The Community Quarry will also receive flint for users that have excess and want to dispose of it. Flint will be used in the andesite process and speeds that process up.
The quarry can provide up to 1620 stacks (103,680) of each item, and can receive up to 1620 stacks of flint. The Quarry Inspection station is mandatory to stop at in order to load the factory, all other stops are optional. Station order is:
- Quarry Inspection (wait 15s so power plant has time to get to full power before proceeding to next stop)
- Quarry Flint Unload
- Quarry Cobble Load
- Quarry Gravel Load
- Quarry Sand Load
- Quarry Andesite Load
- Quarry Tuff Load
- Quarry Clay Load
- Quarry Terracotta Load
- Quarry Red Sand Load
It takes about 6 minutes to load 1620 stacks, or about 4.5 stacks per second. Each loading/unloading stop should have a timeout of y = number of stacks being requested divided by 4 seconds or y = number of stacks being requested divided by 240 minutes. (proceed after loading x stacks or y seconds/minutes).
The quarry maintains its own train to supply lava utilizing its own siding.
Times to fully replenish each buffer:
Cobblestone: 24min
Gravel: 40min*
Sand: 40min*
Andesite: 2hr
Tuff: 1hr 20min
Clay: 2hr 40min
Terracotta: 10hr 40min
Red Sand: 10hr 40min
*Need to test against new cobble generation speed
From cold start, it takes approximately 29 hours to fill all buffers. If users are taking large quantities of terracotta or red sand, they're asked to schedule their trains to run no more frequently than 1 minute per stack. For clay and andesite 1 minute per 6 stacks. For everything else 1 minute per 10 stacks. This is additive. If you're taking an equal mix of everything, set a cooldown of 9 hours between trips.
Be aware that if the smelter is operating, it will consume about 15% of gravel and 40% of tuff each hour, or about 80% of the quarry's total throughput. Between this activity and if another player takes a large quantity of one item shortly before your train arrives, your train may not return with a full load. Hopefully this will even out over time.
There are player accessible barrels at the front of the factory if you wish to travel in and take a smaller quantity, and each vault has a smart chute that can be used to load a shulker in the basement.
