Possibility to add custom postgresql.conf

The default values of postgresql.conf may have to be modified by user (e.g. max_connections or shared_buffers).
From what I have read about the code of this plugin, it does not allow it yet.
Do you plan to integrate it ? (I am ok to work on it) Or is there a workaround ?

I'm also looking to modify this for remote access using pgAdminIII on my local machine (as per the answer suggested on Digital Ocean at https://www.digitalocean.com/community/questions/connect-to-droplet-running-postgresql-9-3-with-pgadmin3).
