Star Wars: Zero Company (PC) HDR Analysis

Technical Info:

• Unreal Engine 5.6.1
• HDR available in the windowed mode
• Defaults to the peak brightness provided by EDID/OS calibration, but can be overridden in game
• Possible sRGB/G2.2 EOTF mismatch in HDR

HDR Settings:

Peak Brightness - peak brightness, values range from 300 nits to 2000 nits, default value is chosen based on the EDID/OS calibration.

Brightness - possibly exposure, values range from 5 to 45, default is 25.

Default is close to 230 nits screen brightness. Screen brightness in nits = Brightness value x10 - 20 nits

Shadows - Tonemapper black point control, values range from -7 to -1, default is -4.

Works as a contrast boost of the darker parts of the image. Value of -1 seems to disable to boost.

UI Brightness - values range from 50 nits to 150 nits, default value is 100 nits.

Review:

Typical run-of-the-mill UE stuff, looks decent enough. Not really much else to say about it.
