Frient SMSZB-120 smoke detector and no status change recorded in Home Assistant/MTTQ.

Dear specialists,

I have a question, but first I will provide some additional context.

I recently bought:

• 6× Frient SMSZB-120 smoke detectors -> Firmware: 4.0.8 (build date: 20240112 01:00), one has 20240601 00:46
• 4 smoke detectors are still unpacked (in case i can't get it working)
• 1× SLZB-06 Zigbee coordinator (Ethernet connected; latest update/upgrade)
• Home Assistant + MQTT (latest clean versions) on a Raspberry Pi 4 with external SSD.

Why I bought them:
Frient Smoke Detector:

• To temporary mute false alarms if possible (I have a rescued dog with trauma; loud alarms may trigger epilepsy)
• For better attribute control (e.g., battery status, test button, temperature, et cetera).
• Compatibility

SLZB-06 Zigbee coordinator:

• For reliability, end point device firmware control, range

The issue:
All devices (e.g., Ikea lights, Tuya temperature sensors, Power outlets, et cetera) work perfectly, except the Frient smoke detector, which was the whole reason for this setup.

I’ve tried several YAML automations via ChatGPT and sending a message works, but using a trigger via the Frient smoke alarm state doesn’t (for example pressing the test button on top).

Anyone know what’s going wrong? I'd really appreciate some-ones help.

Solved it. You must push the test button more than one cycle.
