as the title says, I'd just like to see the superfluous start menu folder go away in favor of
Insomniabeing placed in the start menu directly.it used to be a super common pattern for most start menu entries to be a folder containing the various applications related to that company/product/service. this was fine and made plenty of sense when the folders were often things like Microsoft Office that contained quite a few distinct but logically collected apps.
however I feel like products have been gradually trending towards placing application links in the start menu directly more and more these days, even if the various apps are technically installed together in some sense, but especially so when there's only a single app from the source.
as a precedent for reference, Xbox Game Pass and Itch.io both give direct start menu entries to each game installed through them, modern Microsoft Office does the same for each office application (Word, Excel, etc.), and Chrome + Firefox both supply a single start menu entry respectively.
