A stain color normalization with robust dictionary learning for breast cancer histological images processing

This repository contains the source code of the paper entitled "A stain color normalization with robust dictionary learning for breast cancer histological images processing" https://doi.org/10.1016/j.bspc.2023.104978.

Structure

• Main function: is an editable source code for stain normalization of H&E images with comments about parameters and important functions. The Natural-Order Filename Sort can be found on MATLAB File Exchange;
• Auxiliary functions: the remaining encrypted source codes are responsible for the estimation of the stain color appearance matrix and stain density maps, and selection of a representative patch of the input images.

Prerequisites

The stain density map estimation needs the installation of the SPAMS toolbox.
