where to get started?

Hi I am new to github and doing community collaboration, is there a particular part of the server emulator which could use some attention or improvement? I want to try and help and improve but I don't know where to get started. I'm kind of new to programming. Sorry, I know this kind of post is probably annoying but I don't know how to get started!

I would first start by reading everything here wiki. Try to spin up your own local version of a server by meticulously following the steps in the startup guide, and play around with the codebase a little bit to get used to how things work.

Then going over to issues and filtering for good first issue tags.
