Installing Tyradex
This is the documentation for Tyradex on Python, a library to help create applications that use the original Tyradex API.
The API has not currently been tested for versions prior to 3.13, although it is expected to be compatible with Python 3.8 and later.
Tyradex is not compatible with Python 2.
You can get the library directly from PyPi
- Unix/macOS
python3 -m pip install -U Tyradex- Windows
py -m pip install -U TyradexIt is sometimes recommended to avoid libraries polluting installations or to use a different version than the one already installed.
It is also possible that you do not have the permissions to install libraries on your system.
To do this, you can use virtual environments.
There is an in-depth tutorial available on Virtual Environments and Packages
But to make it simple you can do this:
- Unix/macOS
cd your-code-source
python3 -m venv code-env
source code-env/bin/activate
pip install -U Tyradex
python3 -m Tyradex --version- Windows
cd your-code-source
py -m venv code-env
code-env\Scripts\activate.bat
pip install -U Tyradex
py -m Tyradex --versionData from Tyradex.
