Better lyrics animation and style

Hey! How are you doing today? I did one side project before discovering this app, for lyrics only, and after i saw this i thought it would be cool to have an app with beautiful lyrics as well as the gorgeous interface it alredy has, ill attach a video and a code i have for the lyrics, maybe someday you can import this into the app as well! Thanks a lot for your hard work and support of the app!

Thanks a lot @donutnotnut, this looks great and it runs really smoothly! I've added your lyrics view to Square as it is (db110fd), with a note in the file that it's yours. It will be in the next release.

Since the animation is ported from Spicy Lyrics, which is AGPL-3.0, the file is marked as AGPL-3.0 and Spicy Lyrics is credited in Settings → About alongside the other licences.

Nice to see this incorporated with your contribution and Spicy Lyrics credited. The attached LyricsView combines a 420 ms scroll with springs for scale, alpha and blur. For the next revision, I would try three quick line changes, pause mid-transition, then seek backward: can you still spot the current line immediately? Dummy text is enough. I have not run Square; this is a review idea, not a reproduced bug.

This original CC0 Hello reveal study, made with Claude Code and selected by JM, is a separate timing reference, not a Compose component. The existing port keeps its AGPL provenance.

Watch without joining; if it earns a place in your workflow, basic participation is free. Saved references and hosted recipes use owner-approved agent access. A public before/after would show whether it helped—no song files or private listening history.
