"Remote mode" function?

The modbus map I got for the Deye 3-phase HV inverters (dated 20260113) has a "remote mode" switch on register 1100, which appears to make it possible to temporarily switch control mode to direct AC-side/battery side/grid side control using register 1104. There registers are apparently not saved to permanent storage, because they reset at a power cycle. Does anyone have experience with this control mode?
