What is Pressure System?

The pressure system provides a built-in pressure value, measured in kPa (ranging from Pa to GPa), for all multiblocks that use the PressureMultiblockMachine class. A standard atmospheric pressure of 101.325 kPa exists in the environment. Any pressure value in a PressureMultiblockMachine that deviates from this standard atmospheric pressure will naturally regress toward 101.325 kPa.
This is the relaxation rate (RelaxRate):
RelaxRate = (0.1 / CasingTier) * relaxMultiplier
This means that the higher the Casing Tier or the lower the configured relaxMultiplier, the longer it takes for the pressure in the PressureMultiblockMachine to return to standard atmospheric pressure—indicating better airtightness.

Similarly, the pressure tolerance of a PressureMultiblockMachine has both an upper and a lower limit, which depend on the Glass Tier. The higher the Glass Tier or the configured pressure tolerance multiplier, the wider the pressure tolerance range becomes.

  • Final upper bound = max(Final lower bound + 1, Base upper bound × toleranceMultiplier)
  • Final lower bound = max(0.1, Base lower bound ÷ toleranceMultiplier)
  • Base upper bound = 400 + (Glass tier − 1) × 200
  • Base lower bound = max(0.1, 50 − (Glass tier − 1) × 10)

How to change a pressure within the PressureSystem?

The ability to change pressure and the ability to consume pressure are both centralized within the same PressureMultiblockMachine class. The distinction lies solely in the parameters added when designing recipes.

  • If you want a PressureMultiblockMachine to be able to change pressure, use .addData('gtuf_pressure_produce', kPa) – positive values pressurize, negative values vacuum.
  • If you want a PressureMultiblockMachine to have the ability to consume pressure, use .addCondition(new PressureCondition(min, max)), which requires the recipe to be performed within a specific pressure range.

What the role played by pressure hatches and pressure pipes?

Pressure Hatches are ports that mediate pressure connectivity between different multiblocks. They do not store pressure data themselves, and their voltage tier does not affect their pressure‑related values.
Pressure pipes serve as the medium for connecting different pressure hatches. Like pressure hatches, they do not store pressure data themselves.
