AHSh Alpha 2.1.1 Patch Notes

Bugs fixed

install.py doesn't delete existing AHSh directory

Notes

So this is a pretty small update, maybe the smallest one ever, but I am very busy with schoolwork right now and I want to focus on that first. After I complete my school stuff, I will finally finish custom terminals and AHSh Release 1.0.0 will finally come out!

Install AHSh in one command with wget -O install.py wget -O install.py https://raw.githubusercontent.com/vrified-stupd/AHSh/refs/heads/main/install.py; python3 install.py!

Terminals

Since you can now use the shell with files, I will be working on custom terminals. Once it is finished, I will probably fully release AHSh to the public. I will also be releasing a few patch updates before the terminal release to keep this thing updated.

Install AHSh in one command with wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Libre-X-Project/AHSh/refs/heads/main/install.py && python3 install.py!

AHSh Alpha 2.0.0

Bug fixes

  • Reboot command just not existing

Code Changes

  • Placed all files in the "commands" directory in the "include" directory
  • Added "properties.h" which can be found in the "include" directory. This file lets you change the prefix, the name, and the version easily without having to change multiple files.
  • Replaced "build.sh" with a Makefile
  • Moved builtin_func[] from "ahsh.c" to "func.h" so that you don't have to edit "ahsh.h" to register a command.

What's coming next?

More commands!!!1!shift1!

I want to add more file commands to AHSh like del (which deletes commands) and list (which lists files and directories) because all you can really do is just create files and echo stuff. You might also see that the commands aren't "bash-like", this is because I don't want to make a shell that's literally just the same as something that's well known, it's just stupid.

Terminals

I also plan on making this shell have a terminal because, what's a shell without a terminal? I also plan on supporting custom terminals when I release the terminal update.
