Is this a City pop or Hiroshi Nagai inspired theme by any chance?

[Real-Fruit-Snacks]

Not directly. It's more outrun/synthwave than city pop: 80s neon at night (deep purple sky, hot pink and cyan, the striped sun and horizon grid in the Obsidian version), by way of Out Run, Miami Vice and the synthwave revival.

They're close cousins though. Nagai's covers are the sunny daytime side of the same 80s dream, and Outrun is that world after dark.

Here is a more fitting them for that style: #502
