RHEL, Rocky , Alma Linux - Build rpms for versions 8, 9, 10

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Package rpm version 2.5.1 for RHEL based linux systems. The listed dependencies do not seem to exist via the dnf command for versions 8, 9 or 10

Describe the solution you'd like
Builds fail because I am unable to identify the right dependencies.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I cannot find these dependencies in the dnf ..
libxml-2.0 2.6.16 or later
icu4c 4.8 or later

and I get this error
checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config checking for genrb... no configure: error: genrb was not found

IBM offer 2.4 for RHEL but the ltfs_ordered_copy function does not work due to dependencies. Your 2.5.1 ltfs_ordered_copy works but it would be great to have all installation in 2.5.1

What is rpm version 2.5.1?

Does it mean LTFS version 2.5.1? If so, LTFS does not release any official version from 2.5 branch. RPM might be available by official release. Or it is really nice if you can contribute.

To clarify ... When using the LTFS compiler files to make a RHEL compatible version of LTFS, I am stumbling because 2 dependencies are not easily identifiable in the RHEL repos. They seem to be available in the Debian ones but not in the RHEL world. RPM (Redhat Package Manager) is the RHEL packaging format. I was hoping that someone far more competent than myself, had already compiled LTFS 2.5.1 as a RHEL rpm package, therefore resolving the dependency issues that I am encountering. I see on the github a Centos docker setup. But Centos is pretty much obsolete now (thanks to microsoft) and RedHat is a common OS for server management, so I figured that someone had already managed to get LTFS working on the latest RHEL versions. Thank you so much for replying.

OK. what you mean is that you just want to build the master branch on RHEL.

Actually docker env for CentOS8 was already moved to Rocky 8, so this is not obsoleted.

For RHEL9 and 10. I don't care about that at this time because

1. My first env is macOS
2. Development is on-going on the master branch and no plan to release 2.5.x at this time

Ok. Out of interest, is your development on Mac because IBM don't offer it?

I just want to say I need a time to confirm this.

I was using RHEL7/8 when I was working in IBM on the machine in IBM. But now I'm not working in IBM any more and I just participate this project voluntarily. And I have only mac machines at this time.

Anyway, I will confirm this on my intel mac with docker image in rocky linux. Let me have a time to do that.
