Tidy up old repo associated with this course? #8
Description
Coming from the videos, I made my way to Github to locate the source for the course. By searching for "Python essential training", I found two similar looking candidate repos:
- https://github.com/LinkedInLearning/python-essential-training-4314028 (this repo, "Python Essential Training")
- https://github.com/LinkedInLearning/python-ET-4314028 ("Python Essential Training (UPDATE FY24 Q4)")
The "resources for this course" video at https://www.linkedin.com/learning/python-essential-training-18764650/resources-for-this-course shows the URL for this repo, https://github.com/LinkedInLearning/python-ET-4314028
I was watching the video on mobile/cast and following along on laptop, so I navigated to github.com/linkedinlearning and looked for the matching repo; the other appeared "more correct" as the name was a clearer match ("essential training" not "ET"), and the video had progressed by the time I was looking at the list.
Once I noticed the possible duplication (matching numeric IDs), I went back to the course to double-check ... and saw the numeric idea there was 18764650, but there are no repos in github.com/linkedinlearning with that ID.
I'll use this repo but wanted to flag the possibility for confusion here 😄
Would be great to have a direct link to the repo from the course notes at https://www.linkedin.com/learning/python-essential-training-18764650 (and maybe archive / flag the deprecated repo).
