First update, focused on making Gaming Mode rock solid.

Fixed

  • Gaming Mode switching now works reliably. "Start now in Gaming/Desktop" and the default-mode tiles talk to the Gaming Mode agent directly (the same way the DeckyLoader plugin does), so the switch happens cleanly every time.
  • Gaming Mode settings weren't saving / showed up disabled with 0 ms. Fixed the cause and added auto-repair: a corrupted config now resets to proper defaults on launch.
  • Startup splash and "hide the desktop" not applying. The config is now written in the format the agent expects, so these (and every other option) take effect.
  • Uninstalling Playhub now fully removes Gaming Mode too (agent, startup entry, shortcuts).

Changed

  • Gaming Mode settings save automatically. Removed the "Apply changes" and "Reload" buttons; every change is saved instantly.
  • Gaming Mode agent API is enabled by default, so everything works out of the box.
  • Playhub CSS Loader theme is now bundled in the app (no external download). It installs straight into homebrew\themes and adds the Playhub profile automatically.

Install / Update

Download Playhub-Setup.exe below and run it. Installs just for your user, no admin needed. If you already have Playhub, just run it over the top.

Playhub checks GitHub for updates and tells you in-app when a new version is out.

Requirements: Windows 11 (x64) recommended. On Windows 10 it runs with a solid dark theme.

Install

Download Playhub-Setup.exe below and run it.

  • Installs just for your user — no administrator rights.
  • Pick your language (12 available), then Install.

What's inside

  • DeckyLoader installer — install, update or remove DeckyLoader from one page, no scripts.
  • Plugin Store for Playhub's DeckyLoader plugins (Launch Curtain, Now Playing, Metadata, ThemeDeck, Weather and more).
  • Gaming Mode — boot straight into Steam Big Picture, like a console.
  • Import Xbox & Game Pass games (UWP / Microsoft Store / Windows Store) into Steam, with the right artwork.
  • Themes & personalization — accent colour, the Playhub theme, Steam artwork backup.
  • 12 languages and built-in update notifications.

Requirements

Windows 11 (x64) recommended.
On Windows 10 the app works with a solid dark theme (no acrylic).

Updates

Playhub checks GitHub for new releases and notifies you inside the app.

⚠️ Note

The installer is not code-signed: on first run Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC" → More info → Run anyway.
