Adds version reporting and formalises docaudit's branch/release model. No change to audit behaviour.

New

  • docaudit version (also --version, -v) — the binary now self-reports its version, embedded from a tracked root VERSION file via go:embed (supersedes the prior tag-only versioning, which left the version invisible in-tree and unshown by the binary).

Project

  • Adopts a main + dev branch model (dev = integration trunk, main = release branch, fast-forward-only) and a just release recipe (gate → fast-forward main → tag → publish). just gate runs gofmt-check + vet + tests.

Orphan / broken-link / untracked checks and the install-hook pre-push gate are unchanged. Consumers on go install github.com/lockyc/docaudit@latest pick this up automatically.
