Menu contents, split into "Standard" and "Advanced mode"?

At he moment, Settings are located:
-in SfOS settings -> RAWFish
-in the menu, accessed by clicking the top of the viewfinder.

In the menu, we have access to all in-app settings, at once.
Would it be of interest to reduce the menu and add an "advanced" one, for less used settings?

If yes, which ones should move to the "advanced" place?

1.a small menu, with few options, in "standard mode"

2. an "advanced" mode, which gives a bigger menu and brings more controls on the main screen

Hmmm...interesting take. But that would make it so that if I need anything in the advanced mode, I would need 3+ actions. Currently, it's 2+1(Scrolling) to reach any setting in menu.

I would argue that having minimal options in the default app setting.

I also think we should decide what the default settings are of the menu, for example: what scene should it be at, quality, noise method...etc

I would say:
Jpg: 96,
Noise: mini or ZSL
Scene: manual or HDR (have to dive into that to explore more)
Focus Speed: balanced?
Timeout 10?
Focus: Auto
AF wait: 1s
Exposure comp: 1x
Grid: off

However, it is very nice that the menu is app-restart-persistent imo.
Hence a "reset" button?

Seems very good.

Interface simplicity:
Add exposure [auto|manual] choice in the menu?
This would allow to get rid of the Speed and ISO wheels, both replaced by the EV exposure compensation in automatic mode.
Conversely, in manual mode, EV wheel disappears and is replaced by the exposure wheels

Format

[RAW+JPG | Native JPG] switch should perhaps rather be on the deck because:
-RAW produces heavy files. Permanent control on whether it is activated is safer
-Nice pic are often accidental: instant quick access to RAW can be decisive.

Zoom control

A finite wheel on the deck is perhaps better than a VF overlay slider, as we should be able to place the measuring circle everywhere on the image.
Current unpinch-to-zoom gesture: Cool feature: Could that be kept to verify the focus? (without effect on the picture)
In that case, a clear sign should be displayed to avoid wrong zoom adjustment risk.

Focus

Should the "None" choice be kept? Or suppressed for more simplicity?
Do we need FOCUSED_LOCKED / NOT_FOCUSED_LOCKED to be represented in the VF? (colour dot...)

AF wait + Speed (Fast, Balanced, Quality) both need more testing to understand how they are related to focus.

Exposure multiplier

In which situations is the multiplier useful? Seems not to change the pictures in Native Jpg mode.

Aperture

Probably not needed in menu, as the aperture is fixed on this chip.
