Whenever I am low (under 3.9) and I log a meal, I naturally am prompted to not take any insulin, which is fine. That said, the "missed meal" notification is late (almost never occurring at actual missed meals, and never happening before I'm too high, like 8 and going up), and the pump won't do any automatic insulin delivery at all before I'm at 6, which is also too late if I haven't dosed for my food. In other words: It is too easy to log food, but forget to take insulin, if you eat when you're low or near low.

A notification specifically designed for this could be a nudging one like missed meals, but rather tripped when you have COB but too little IOB (meaning you haven't taken insulin for the meal), and you hit a certain blood sugar level going up.
Example: I log 50g carbs, but I'm at 3.2mmol/L (sensor value), so I'm prompted with 0 suggested insulin delivery right now. I set aside my phone and start eating, quickly forgetting about the dosing. While I'm not thinking about it, my blood sugar reaches 4.5mmol/L and my loop app sends out a "Your blood sugar is rising with little IOB. Bolus?" notification, and I open it to start delivering my dose. This is actually much simpler than the missed meals notification, and likely much more accurate.
Describe alternatives you've considered
None. Missed meals is not reliable. Auto-taking the entire needed dose is also a bit too careless.

This would help a bunch, especially for people like me who like going a bit low / close to low before eating to avoid going high for (especially starchy etc) meals.
