The audio quality of the Brick is quite poor. You get audible noise when connecting headphones to the built-in 3,5mm jack. Fortunately external USB-C dongles that do provide clean audio exists. Connecting such a USB DAC to the OTG port of the Brick works! You need to connect the DAC before loading an application and you can't disconnect the dongle in between, but it does provide audio.
However, the output level is fixed at maximum, resulting in both destroyed headphones AND eardrums. None of the audio adjustment options seem to have any effect.
This is either a bug report or a feature request to support adjusting the volume when an external USB-C DAC is connected (through the OTG port).
