Does this extension support VS Code Notebook?

Does this extenison work not only in Lua code files but also in VS Code notebook cells? It seems that syntax highlighting works but nothing else. One time suddendly all other features started working, but it looked more as a bug and I couldn't repeat it after restarting the editor. Every time I try to format a cell, VS Code asks me to install a Lua formatter from the marketplace. Can this extension be enabled or configured to work with cells?

I never used notebook, I will do some research.

Error checking doesn't work properly in notebook. The server does actually list all the errors in "PROBLEMS" panel, but it does not highlight them in cells. I don't know if it is intended behaviour though. The path to the ".ipynb" file shown in "PROBLEMS" panel is also mangled. It looks like "notebook.ipynb#X16sZmlsZQ".
