Followed all steps up to that point. Got the "not compatible with your operating system" message, which I hit Ignore on, per instructions.
After a few moments, I got the above popup. Vortex install stops after a few pixels on the progress bar, and after that, it closes and opens a few times, then eventually opens and stays hung on "installing dotnet".
If I dismiss the dialog that says "this application could not be started," it brings up the Steam window, then the install Vortex window, then the install Vortex window closes. If I click start, it does the same thing.
I tried restarting the entire process from scratch with a different version of Proton, same result.
