End of active development

Hey everyone,

After a lot of consideration, I have decided to stop actively maintaining LumexUI.

My interests have shifted over time, and I no longer have the motivation to keep developing Blazor UI tooling. Rather than leave the project in an uncertain state, I would like to be transparent about it.

What this means

• The repository will be archived (read-only) on 01/11/2026. Until then, this discussion is open for questions.
• v2.4.0 is the final release. It stays available on NuGet, and existing projects will keep working as they do today.
• There will be no further updates, bug fixes, or new components.
• The documentation at lumexui.org will remain online.
• LumexUI is MIT-licensed, so you are free to fork it and take it in whatever direction you like.
• All other repositories will be archived as well.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who used LumexUI, contributed, reported issues, or simply showed interest in the project. Seeing people build real things with something I created has been incredibly rewarding.

I am proud of what LumexUI became, even though it's time for me to move on.

I think closing the open issues was a bad call, as it obscures what still would need to be addressed by any future fork. So I'll summarize here that keyboard-only navigation and screenreader discoverability were lacking, and would have to be solved for any site that wants to be ADA compliant or accessible to blind folks. This is incredibly common with Blazor libraries for some reason.

That said, good luck in your future endeavors :)
