Use Import Repair when the Toolkit rewrites import settings XML source paths to absolute Data/ASSETS paths.
Have you ever gotten that error when trying to reimport a mesh asset that says something like Missing ($SOURCE) token in Source Path? Coz I sure have! How does this happen? You forgor to uncheck the little box beside Rename Asset Files in the Move / Rename Resources window. How do I know this? I am a dumbass. I'm sure you can put two and two together.
Example broken source:
source="D:/Games/Steam/steamapps/common/Baldurs Gate 3/Data/ASSETS/MyMod/MyAsset.GR2"Repaired source:
source="($SOURCE)\MyMod\MyAsset.GR2"- Open
Import Repair. - Choose the folder containing the affected settings
.xmlfiles. - Keep
Backup XMLon. - Click
Repair Imports. - Confirm the repair when prompted.
- Review the log.
Backup XML creates timestamped .xml.bak-* backups before writing changes.
